A Class E Licence is a perfect fit for anyone looking into a career as Mini-Bus Driver carrying a maximum of 24 passengers or less. This career option is great for retired, part-time drivers, or drivers within organizations or smaller tour carriers.

WHAT CAN I DRIVE WITH THIS LICENCE?

A class E licence is needed to drive any school-purpose bus having seats for not more than 24 passengers. It also allows you to operate vehicles included in classes F and G, but not motorcycles.

HOW LONG IS THE COURSE AND WHAT DOES IT COST?

Depending on your experience (or lack of experience) you can register for a combination of training programs that suit your needs.

Each Driving Lesson is scheduled for 1 Full Hour.

Topics covered during training include Vehicle Inspections, On the Road Training, Yard Work and Safety Procedures.

Lessons can be scheduled 7 days a week,  from 8am-10pm.

WHAT WILL I GRADUATE WITH?

Upon successfully completing a Road Test with the MTO (Ministry of Transportation Ontario) Students will receive an Ontario Class E Driver’s License.

WHAT DO I NEED BEFORE I CAN BEGIN?
  • Valid Ontario Class ‘G’ License or higher
  • Knowledge verification of Rules of the Road and Signs. Handbook and materials provided to help in passing the knowledge tests.
  • MTO approved Medical Form completed

CAN I GET A JOB AFTER I COMPLETE THIS PROGRAM?

Minibuses drivers are used for a variety of reasons. In a public transport role, they can be used as fixed route transit buses, airport buses, flexible demand responsive transport vehicles, share taxis or large taxicabs. Accessible minibuses can also be used for para-transit type services, by local authorities, transit operators, hospitals or charities. Private uses of minibuses can include corporate transport, charter buses, tour buses. Schools, sports clubs, community groups and charities may also use minibuses for private transport. Individual owners may use reduced seating minibuses as cheap recreational vehicles.
